Paquette Change Of Venue Being Considered

An Ontario Superior Court Justice began hearing an application for a change of venue in the Noelle Paquette murder case at Sarnia's courthouse Tuesday. A trial, by direct indictment, is already set for the spring of 2016 but a defense application is seeking to have proceedings moved out of Sarnia. Four days are set aside to consider the request for a change of venue. 20-year-old Michael MacGregor and 32-year-old Tanya Bogdanovich are charged with first degree murder in the death of the 27-year-old Paquette. The school teacher's body was found in a woodlot off Mandaumin Rd. January 2, 2013. She had gone missing after leaving a New Year's Eve party in downtown Sarnia. Three to four months are set aside for the trial, scheduled to begin April 4 of next year.

After countless appearances by video, the two accused were in the courtroom Tuesday in separate prisoner's boxes.
