A computer app helped lead Sarnia police to a suspect in recent thefts.
Sarnia police say two cars were entered sometime overnight March 30.
Two jackets, a leather satchel containing a MacBook, a GPS and passport were taken from a car in the 300-block of London Rd.
A car in the 200-block of Durand St. had identification, binoculars and an i-Pad taken from inside.
The owner of the MacBook notified police the next day that his "Find My Mac" app showed his laptop in the Murphy Rd. and Michigan Ave. area, and spotted the suspect with his computer.
Two officers then saw suspect returning home. He was arrested and the stolen property recovered.
A 29-year-old Sarnia man is charged with three counts of possession of stolen property, and three counts of possession of stolen identity.
