Staff, physicians and volunteers at Bluewater Health are raising awareness about cancer prevention.
A group gathered in the hospital atrium in Sarnia late Monday morning to launch a new digital tool which will help area residents better understand cancer risk factors and make healthy lifestyle changes.
Lambton's Medical Officer of Health Dr. Sudit Ranade encourages everyone to log onto MyCancerIQ.ca
Dr. Ranade says the tool focuses on colorectal, breast, cervical and lung cancers.
Dr. Ranade says in less than 10 minutes you can find out how your choices are affecting your health.
Meantime, Urologists Dr. Paul Martin, Dr. Alvaro Ramirez and Dr. Rajiva Singh were scheduled to host a free educational event on prostate health at the hospital Monday night.
Men and their families can learn more about screening, treatment options and advanced prostate cancer from 6-7pm in Bluewater Health's auditorium on the second floor of the London building in Sarnia.
