Ferry Hoping For Increased Business

With the original span of the Blue Water Bridge now closed for three months, the Bluewater Ferry is preparing to take additional traffic.

Manager Morgan Dalgety says they have a second ferry ready to go.

Dalgety welcomes an increase in business after being shut down for 64 days over the winter months due to ice build up in the St. Clair River.

The ferry runs between Sombra and Marine City Michigan.

Traffic in both directions is now using the newer Blue Water Bridge span while the original structure undergoes resurfacing and waterproof undercoating.
