Todd Case Withdraws His Name

It's now a two person race for the federal Liberal candidacy in Sarnia-Lambton.

Todd Case has announced that he's withdrawing his name from the ballot.

The Warwick Township Mayor says it was flattering to be approached by the recruitment committee, but now that the riding has two strong local candidates, he felt it was the right thing to step aside.

Liberal Association President Eileen Viola says they respect that decision.

The two remaining candidates hoping to represent the riding in the October federal election are Elizabeth Wood-McDonald and David McPhail. A nomination meeting date and location is still to be determined.
