Two Sarnia men were arrested over the weekend after a man was beaten with a baseball bat and robbed last week. City police say a 26-year-old man was lured from his home to the area of Devine St. and Emma St. for a meeting with two men Wednesday, March 4. Police say he was struck several times with a bat, then chased to Stuart St. where he was assaulted again and threatened. The victim handed over his cell phone and cash. A 24-year-old man arrested Friday afternoon and a 41-year-old man picked up Saturday night are charged with assault with a weapon and robbery. The 41-year-old is also charged with uttering threats to cause bodily harm, resisting arrest and breach of probation . Both were being held pending bail hearings.
