City To Develop Corporate Plan

Sarnia council has asked staff to start the process of developing a corporate plan for the city.

Councillor Mike Kelch says plans for the community, like the fire and infrastructure master plans are done, now council just needs to follow them.

He says this plan will outline what council wants to achieve over the next four years.

Councillor Cindy Scholten has asked that the corporate plan be completed fully in-house rather than using an external consultant.

Staff have been asked to report back on many communication related topics, including: the cost to live stream meetings, educating councillors on social media and whether or not mailing out the city's community newsletter remains feasible.
