Chamber Supports Deficit Management Strategy

The Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce has thrown its support behind the city's recently announced deficit management strategy.

President Rory Ring says the motion put forward by councillor Mike Kelch moves the city in the right direction.

City staff has been asked to provided a listing and explanation of all financial pressures that could lead to a year-end deficit with the quarterly budget reports.

They will also continue work to establish a Contingency Operating Reserve.

The revised process takes effect immediately.
