Record Mild And Windy Christmas Eve Expected

It's sure not going to feel like Christmas heading into the big day. We're anticipating a record high temperature Wednesday.

The latest Environment Canada forecast calls for wind, rain, possibly some thunder, fog and a high of 12 C or 54 F.

The standing record for December 24, is 9.9 C, set in 1982.

Very strong winds are likely to develop during the night of Christmas Eve across southern Ontario and wind warnings may be required.

Temperatures will drop to more seasonal values Christmas Day but still remain above freezing.

Some wet flurries are likely but we're told not to expect much, if any, accumulation for a white Christmas.
