Arrest Made After Knifepoint Robbery

Police have made an arrest following an armed robbery at a convenience store in Sarnia.

Sarnia Police Services says on Saturday just before 3pm, a man entered the store on Wellington St. and East St. and confronted the clerk with a knife. The suspect made off with an unknown amount of cash and cigarettes.

Police arrested a man shortly after, one block away from the convenience store.

There were no injuries during the robbery and all property was recovered.

The man has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
