Pete Aarssen Seeks Conservative Party Nomination

A local financial executive wants to be the Conservative Party candidate for Sarnia Lambton in next year's federal election.

Pete Aarssen, Freedom 55's Regional Director for Southwestern Ontario, has announced his intention to seek the Conservative nomination.

The 52-year-old Wallaceburg native says the next few years are big for this area and Ottawa will play a big role in the expansion of local industry.

MP Pat Davidson announced last week she is not seeking a 4th term.

A nomination meeting is expected to be held early in the new year.
