Boy Charged In Auto Thefts

A 15-year-old Sarnia boy is charged in an auto theft investigation by city police.

Around midnight Sunday an officer stopped a Jeep Wrangler at the intersection of Elizabeth and Exmouth St. after realizing the vehicle had been reported stolen to him the previous day.

During the investigation police allege a key for a Dodge vehicle was found in the teenage driver's possession which led them to a Wellington St. parking lot.

A Dodge Caravan, also reported stolen, was found there.

The teen is charged with theft and possession of stolen property.
