Legionnaires Fall To Chatham

The Sarnia Legionnaires dropped their fourth game in five contests, losing 4-3 to the Chatham Maroons at the Sarnia Arena in GOJHL play Thursday night.

Jay Clarke, Cody Trowell, and Riley Babkirk each scored for the Legionnaires while Jake O'Donnell dished out two assists.

Head Coach Dan Rose says the Legionnaires fell victim to some bad bounces.

Chatham out shot Sarnia 39-25. The Legionnaires went 1-6 on the powerplay while the Maroons went scoreless on two chances with the man advantage.

Jared Dennis led the way for Chatham with two goals and an assist. Brayden Hopkins, Brennan Feasey, and Steven Beenackers each had two points.

Sarnia remains in second place in the Western Conference with 28 points, four back of Leamington.

The Legionnaires return to action Friday night in St. Thomas.
