Multiple brands of bread, buns recalled

Several brands of bread and buns have been recalled because of concerns that they may contain pieces of metal.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has listed the 37 affected products on its website.

"Do not use, sell, serve or distribute the affected products," read the advisory.

The affected brands include Country Harvest, Deli World, D'Italiano, Giant Value, Great Value, No Name, President's Choice, and Wonder. The recall also covers different types of white, whole wheat, and multi-grain bread; as well as hamburger and hot dog buns.

The products were sold in Ontario, Quebec, and Newfoundland and Labrador.

The advisory did not mention reports of injuries or illness related to the recall.

Wonder Brands Inc. was listed as the recalling firm.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency also noted a related recall of Sifto brand Hy·Grade Salt due to pieces of metal. The recalling firm was Compass Minerals Canada Corp.
