Windsor man killed in crash west of Wallaceburg

One person is dead and three others are injured after a crash near Walpole Island.

On Monday morning, Chatham-Kent police reported the deadly crash happened on Saturday afternoon when a single vehicle ended up in a creek on St. Clair Parkway between Dufferin Avenue and Stewart Line in Chatham Township.

Police said a vehicle travelling northbound with four occupants left the roadway, entered the water, and came to rest on the south side of the creek.

A 27-year-old Windsor man received life saving efforts at the scene, but succumbed to his injuries, according to police. A 23-year-old London woman, a 27-year-old London man, and a 30-year-old Strathroy man were transported to a local hospital for medical attention, police said.

"The Chatham-Kent Police Service extends our deepest condolences to the family and friends," police wrote in a news release.
