Person steals safe from Chatham Mr. Sub

Chatham-Kent police are seeking information from the public following a break and enter at Mr. Sub on Richmond Street .

The incident took place overnight on Friday, according to police. An unknown suspect reportedly gained entry to the business by smashing through a drive-thru window and stole a safe containing $6,000 to $11,000 worth of cash and valuables.

Anyone with information about this alleged break and enter is asked to contact Constable Kai Kraft at kaik@chatham-kent.ca or 519-436-6600. Anonymous tips can also be submitted via Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).

Wanted woman attends Chatham-Kent Police Station

A woman who was wanted for failing to comply with her release conditions was arrested after showing up at the Chatham-Kent Police Station.

Police said she arrived at the location around 5 p.m. on Friday to speak with officers regarding an unspecified matter. The woman was then notified of her warrant and placed under arrest, according to police.

She was later released with a future court date.
