Maroons rally past Cambridge

The Chatham Maroons rallied to beat the Cambridge Redhawks 3-2 and win their second game in the GOJHL Sutherland Cup Round Robin.

The Redhawks scored early just over a minute into the first period to take the lead, but the Connor Paronuzzi and Cameron Graham scored less than two minutes apart early in the second to put the Maroons up 2-1.

Cambridge tied it up at 12:34 in the second, but Cameron Welch scored to put Chatham back on top less than a minute later.

Nolan DeKoning made 30 saves as the Maroons held on for the win after a scoreless third period. That improves Chatham to 1-1 in the Round Robin.

Chatham is back in action Friday night when they play the Falcons in St. Catherines at 7 p.m.
