Some Downtown Chatham Sears customers are feeling a mixture of happiness and sadness.
They say the liquidation sale has great deals but the impending closing of the store is like losing a family member.
Fay bought some pillows and says she'll miss the store.
"It's been here a long time. I came to Canada in 1967. So, I remember all the old stores like Sears and Woolworth and Kresge. So, it'll be another one going away and leaving us," she says.

The Chatham Sears store will close in October, leaving 56 people out of work.
The liquidation sale began July 21 and has deals of 30% to 50% off.
Heather bought some clothes for work and says she'll miss the selection.
"It's basically the biggest store we have around. So, there's not going to be a lot of selection left around town when Sears goes. It's sad," Heather says.
Maria bought some hangers to organize her closet and says it's a sad day.
"When I came to Canada in 1981, they just laid foundation for this mall and after all these years of shopping it's going to be missed very much. Very nice people, I got to know some by name. It's really going to be sad," says Maria.
