The Chatham-Kent Police Service now has its chief and deputy chief positions set in stone.
Deputy Chief Jeff Littlewood was officially sworn in Friday, after a long career in a number of police training and education roles.
He says he's looking to make some adjustments with the service, considering the dynamic nature of the profession.
"Policing is changing, not in five-year increments, but yearly. Public confidence has to be there, and in order to do that, we have to change some things. We're already doing some of that with our community mobilization," he says.
Littlewood most recently oversaw the Major Crime, Drug and Traffic Management Units. He started his career as a cop in 1984.
