Carrying The Torch For Chatham-Kent

Shannon Prince is excited to be named torch bearer for Chatham-Kent's leg of the relay, leading up to this year's Pan Am Games in Toronto.

The curator of the Buxton National Historic Site & Museum says the decision was made by the Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce and she was shocked, but honoured. "To be a part of that experience, for me, it's going to be very memorable and emotional."

The Pan Am Torch will pass through Chatham on June 16.

The games start July 10 and last until July 26.
