Kitchener beat Attack with third period comeback

The Owen Sound Attack couldn't beat the Kitchener Rangers despite having a lead heading into the third period.

The two teams faced off Saturday night at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre with the Rangers winning 3-2.

Opening the scoring was Kitchener's Adrian Misaljevic eight minutes into the first period.

The Attack would tie the game before the first intermission thanks to Bruce McDonald who scored his 8th goal unassisted.

The only goal of the second period came from the Attack's Michael Dec on the powerplay. His 4th goal was assisted by Dean Waddick and James Petrovski.

It didn't take long in the third period for Kitchener to tie the game as Cameron Arquette scored under two minutes in.

Luke Ellinas would score the game winner for Kitchener with around eight minutes left in the game.

With the loss, Owen Sound sees its record drop to 24-34-4-3, while Kitchener moves to 46-13-4-2.

The Attack's next game is on Thursday, March 20, on the road against the Barrie Colts.
