The Kincardine Bulldog's bench will look very different next season.
The team has announced a change behind the bench for the 2023-24 season, announcing that they have parted ways with Head Coach Todd Norman. Assistant Coach Russell Sutton will also not be returning.
Assistant Coach Blair Pollock will return, alongside two new additions. That includes newly named Head Coach, Jeff Alcombrack. He played for the Bulldogs as a 15-year-old, and got drafted into the OHL by Sarnia, playing Jr. B in Owen Sound. He embarked on a 9 year pro career, including stops in Sweden and the U.S. Alcombrack coached the Bulldogs for a 5 year stint over a decade ago, and returns home to take over behind the bench.
Joining Alcombrack will be Shawn Krueger from Owen Sound. Shawn played minor hockey in Owen Sound before embarking on an OHL and pro career, including the IHL. Krueger has been coaching over 25 years, notably with Grey Bruce Highlanders AAA program.
Bulldogs GM Warren Beisel made the announcement on the morning of May 16.
