Canada wins silver medal at Men’s Pan American Softball Championship

Team Canada took home silver at the Men’s Pan American Softball Championship.

The Canadians had an excellent tournament, suffering their only loss in the gold medal game against the host Argentinians by a score of 4-1. Canada had an early 1-0 lead, but Argentina answered with three straight solo shots and tacked on another run later in the contest. Mitchell's Tyler Pauli was part of Canada's silver medal win.

Despite the loss in the gold medal game, Canada has qualified for the 2022 WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup that will take place from November 26 to December 4 in New Zealand. They will be joined by Argentina, Cuba and the United States from the WBSC Americas region.
