Bulldogs' big win in Mount Forest

The Kincardine Bulldogs came up with a big road win in Mount Forest, downing the Patriots 5-2.

Bulldogs' forward Mike Fiegehen picked up the hat trick for Kincardine by scoring in the first, second and third periods. That gives the Southampton native 24 goals on the season, a career best in his four seasons with Kincardine.

Sean Andrus picked up the win in the Bulldogs' net stopping 44 shots on net while newly acquired Gleb Poliakov made 30 saves in the Mount Forest crease. Poliakov had started the season in St. Marys with the Lincolns in the GOJHL and appeared in 7 games going 4-3 with a 3.00 GAA.

The Kincardine win puts the Bulldogs into a tie for third in the Pollock Division with Mitchell with 43 points. Mount Forest trails Wingham by a point for top spot but with two games in hand.

The Patriots will be in Wingham Friday night for an 8 p.m. game and that will be featured on Cherrey Buslines OHA Hockey on CKNX.

Kincardine's next game will be at home Saturday against Walkerton at 7:30 p.m.
