Local softball players to represent Team Canada at Men's U17 Championships

Some local ball players will be representing Canada at the 2019 U17 Men's Softball Pan American Championships.

Team Canada is made up of 15 players and 6 coaches and management staff. Locally, 5 players from Midwestern Ontario will be on the team. Mason McKay of Tavistock, Jackson Pegelo of Cargill, Owen Rahn of Durham, Matthew Weiler of Hepworth and Reese Yantzi of Shakespeare will represent Team Canada.

The tournament is being held in Guatemala City, Guatemala, and Canada's first game is Sunday, November 3rd against the United States.
