Mitchell gets midweek win

The Mitchell Hawks edged Wingham 3-2 to hand the Ironmen their first loss of the season.

Jarett Bogdon scored the winner at 15:52 of the third as part of his three point night. He leads the team in scoring with 12 points in 7 games. Spencer Dowd scored the other goal for Mitchell.

Kyle Stanbury and Austin McKeachnie scored for Wingham, both of the goals coming on the power play.

Wingham did out shoot Mitchell 38-25 but Ryan Govier made 36 saves in the Mitchell net. Garrett Golley stopped 22 shots for Wingham.

The Ironmen's next game is at home Friday night against Kincardine which will be the feature game on Cherrey Buslines OHA Hockey on CKNX.

Mitchell plays at home Sunday against Mount Forest.
