O'Reilly Skates Into St. Louis

Ryan O'Reilly is considered to be one of the best centres in the NHL.

And with St. Louis trading away Paul Statsny to Winnipeg late last season, there was a hole to fill. That looks to be filled by O'Reilly who spent the last three seasons in Buffalo.

He scored at least 20 goals in each of his three seasons with the Sabres. In the 2017-2018 campaign, 15 of his goals were on the power play.

He's also a top face-off man winning 59.98 percent of his draws in 2017-2018, the best mark of his career.

But team has struggled, finishing below .500 for the past three seasons and beyond.

With O'Reilly going to St. Louis, Buffalo get two draft picks, including a 2019 first-rounder, and three players. Centres Vladimir Sobotka, Patrik Berglund, and Tage Thompson. Thompson was the Blues' first-round pick in the 2016 draft.
