Hawks Fly Out Of Kincardine With Win

The Walkerton Hawks took flight in Game 2 of the Western Jr. C Final winning in Kincardine 6-3, rebounding from a Game 1 loss.

Kincardine opened the scoring on the power play at 6:27 of the first thanks to Patrick Wiejack. But that woke up the Walkerton Hawks as the team scored five consecutive times from the midway point of the first through to the midway point of the second. Three of those goals on the power play.

Hawks' forward Lachlin Elder picked up the hat trick for Walkerton.

Walkerton was 4-for-13 with the man advantage as the defending Western Jr. C champions tied the series final at one.

Game 3 of the series goes Friday night in Walkerton at 7:20pm with the series tied at one.
