Nastasiuk Takes Home Two Awards at End-of-Season Ceremony

The Owen Sound Attack marked the end of the 2014-15 season with a barbecue and awards ceremony yesterday.

Zach Nastasiuk took home both the Jerry Reid Award as the regular season most valuable player and the Dave McComb Memorial Award for leadership and perseverance for the second straight year. He was also named winner of the Players' Choice Award. Nastasiuk shared the Jerry Reid Award with assistant captain Chris Bigras.

Netminder Jack Flynn also walked away with a couple of awards. He won the Becker Shoes Attacker of the Week award for being named the Attack's player of the week most often during the regular season. He was also given the Butch Keeling Memorial Award as the playoff's most valuable players.

Other  Winners:

Kyle Platzer - Tommy Burlington Award for the team's leading scorer

Damir Sharipzyanov - Harry Kazarian Memorial Award as the team's most improved player

Petrus Palmu - Harry Lumley Memorial Award as rookie of the year

Liam Dunda - Ryobi Tools Hardest Working Player and Howard Hindman Award for scholastic player of the year

Justin Brack - Dan Snyder Memorial Award for player who maintains a positive outlook at all times
