Local Ringette Team Going Strong At Eastern Championships

A local Ringette team is representing the province well in The Maritimes.

The Exeter-Seaforth U-19 team is playing as Team Ontario at the Eastern Canadian Ringette Championships in Moncton, New Brunswick.

They head into Sunday with a spot in the final locked up with wins over Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, PEI and both teams from Quebec.

Leading the way so far is Avery Wedow of Mitchell who has 22 points from 5 games.

Exeter-Seaforth earned the right to represent Ontario after winning the provincial title. They play the winner of either PEI or New Brunswick after a morning game.

​Seth Jarvis scored the game-winner in overtime in Carolina's 4-3 comeback victory over the Vegas Golden Knights. The Stanley Cup Finals are now tied at one game apiece.
