The Alliston Hornets made home ice count in Game 6 of the Schmalz Cup Quarter-Finals, defeating Walkerton 6-2.
Alliston scored in the first period and never looked back, holding the lead for the entire game. Walkerton got to within one goal at one point in the second period and that is as close as they got.
The Hawks only managed 19 shots on the Alliston net and was 0-for-5 on the power play. Alliston was able to score twice in four attempts.
Lachlin Elder and Reid Simmons were the goal scorers for Walkerton.

The rest of the Schmalz Cup Quarter-Finals are finished. Ayr defeated Grimsby 3-2 in Game 6 to eliminate the Peach Kings Saturday afternoon. Port Hope shut out Clarrington 6-0 in Game 6 of that series to wrap it up. Essex had swept Exeter earlier.
