The Exeter Hawks took a commanding 2-0 series lead in the SOJHL final against Dorchester with a 7-0 victory on the road Saturday.
For the second straight night, the Hawks put seven past the opposing Dolphins. This time, goalie James Morreau would not be beat, stopping all 28 shots he faced for the win.
Despite the scoreline, it was a pretty close game in the first two periods. Tyler Kettler and Tyler Coleman scored the only goals in the first and second respectively.
Coleman had a big night Saturday, adding three more goals and an assist in the third to complete a five point night. Christopher Pfaff and Max Naus had the other goals for Exeter.
With the victory, Exeter hold a 2-0 series lead heading back home for Game 3 on Tuesday. Puck drop is 8pm.
