Nelson Named Player of the Month

The Western Jr. C player of the month of November is goalie Ben Nelson of the Wingham Ironmen.

Nelson was 7-1 through November.  His goals against average sat at 2.85 and he had a save percentage of .915.

He also helped the Western Junior "C" All-Stars beat the G.B.M.O. All-Stars earlier in the month in a game in Penetanguishene.

The Ironmen are tied in points with Walkerton at 32 but the Hawks do have three games in hand.

Environment Canada is anticipating a cold front to sweep through the region, with a small chance of flurries on Sunday evening, potentially continuing into Monday.

The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority is reporting some flooding in downtown Chatham and more could be on the way.
