The Stratford-Perth Archives is getting ready to host a free workshop on researching First World War service records.
There will be two sessions that people can attend. The workshop will be hosted at the Stratford-Perth Archives, located at 4273 Line 34, Stratford. Attendees can choose to attend on either Saturday, October 17 from 2-4 p.m. or Saturday, October 24 from 2-4 p.m.
Participants will hear from author and historian Eric Edwards about decoding First World War service records. Participants will learn more about how to uncover more information about ancestors, both soldiers and nurses, who served in the First World War.
Eric will assist people in accessing the digital copy of the service files of their ancestors who served in the Great War. He will also help everyone understand the records they find and how to find even more information using both online and other resources.
