Emergency repairs are underway on the water distribution system along Maple Ridge Drive in East Linton following an issue that developed over the weekend.
The Municipality of Georgian Bluffs said crews began work early Monday morning to address the problem. To facilitate the necessary repairs, system operators must isolate sections of the infrastructure by closing water main valves.
As a result, residents in the immediate area should expect low water pressure, full service interruptions, or temporary discolouration throughout the day. Repairs are scheduled to wrap up by 5 p.m.
Municipal officials advise anyone experiencing discoloured tap water to run their cold water taps for approximately five minutes until the flow becomes clear. Residents should avoid using hot water taps or running washing machines until the water clarity is fully restored.
