Grey Bruce Public Health adds new board member

Grey Bruce Public Health (GBPH) has announced a new appointee to the Board of Health.

Kenneth Craig, Chair of the Board of Health for GBPH, announced in a media release on Thursday that Michael Murray of Grey Highlands will be joining the local Board of Health as a provincial appointee.

The Executive Council of Ontario approved the appointment through an Order in Council, effective July 30, 2026, and for a term not exceeding two years.

Murray has many years of experience in various roles in the public, private, and non-for-profit sectors. He served for 28 years with the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, including as its Chief Administrative Officer from 2004 to 2020.

He joins Chad Richards and David Nusko as provincial appointees on the Board of Health, which held its inaugural meeting on July 24, 2026. Grey County representatives on the Board are Shirley Keaveney (Vice-Chair), Dane Nielsen, Barbara Dobreen, and Scott Greig. Bruce County’s representatives are Kenneth Craig, Steve Hammell, and Rod Anderson.
