The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) announced its first hosting payments for the 2026-27 fiscal year, and one local municipality saw a sizable increase.
The Municipality of Central Huron received $212,504 for hosting Gateway Casinos Clinton from April 1 to June 30. That marked an $11,000 increase over the same time period last year.
Meanwhile, Hanover received $343,117 for its Playtime Casino, a decrease of around $4,000 from the same period in 2025.
"Payments to host communities are based on a formula consistently applied across all gaming sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site, " a statement from OLG said.
Hanover has received over $25 million since its site opened in 2001, while Clinton has received over $15 million.
