Environment Canada issued the alert earlier in the afternoon, saying conditions could bring heavy rain, high winds and risk of tornado.
At around 6 p.m., the national weather service said conditions are no longer favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms.
A special weather statement is still in effect for Bruce and Grey Counties, with heavy rain is expected this evening.
