Kincardine to host household hazardous waste drop-off

Bruce County is letting residents know there will be another household hazardous waste drop-off coming up in Kincardine.

The event will be held Saturday, May 9 at Kincardine Public Works at 140 Valentine Avenue from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Residents may bring items from your homes, basements and garages to be disposed of, including things like paints and stains, aerosols and solvents, propane tanks, fuel, used oil and oil filters, batteries and antifreeze, household cleaners, fluorescent lights, fertilizers and pesticides, pool chemicals, pharmaceuticals and fire extinguishers.

Things like commercial, industrial or agricultural waste, PCB materials, ammunition and flares are not accepted.
