Huron County OPP have announced charges against a driver involved in a fatal collision that took place in February.

The two-vehicle collision occurred on North Line just north of Hydro Line Road in Huron East on February 17.

A pickup truck and a sedan were both heavily damaged in the crash, and the driver of the car was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Three days later, the 84-year-old driver from North Huron died as a result of those injuries.

The identity of the deceased was not shared by police.

Following an investigation involving members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team, police announced charges against the pickup truck driver this week.
