Stretch of Hwy 6 near Hepworth closed due to flooding, additional roads closed

South Bruce OPP and the Town of South Bruce Peninsula are warning motorists that a stretch of Hwy. 6 near Hepworth is closed due to flooding.

A statement from the Town of South Bruce Peninsula says that Hwy. 6 on the north side of Hepworth at Spring Creek Road is currently closed to provide emergency flood assistance.

Road Closure signage is currently in place at the intersection of Hwy. 6 and Spring Creek Road, as well as the intersection of Hwy. 6 and North Diagonal. Motorists are asked to find alternate routes around the closure.

The main intersection in Hepworth at Hwy. 6, Bruce Road 8, and Bruce Road 10 remains open at this time.

Additionally, Bruce Road 14 is closed between Maryville Lake Road and MacDonald Street to provide emergency flooding assistance. Road closure signage is currently placed at the intersection of Bruce Road 14 and Bruce Road 8 and Bruce Road 14 and Highway 21.
