The Power Workers' Union have donated $100,000 to the Town of Saugeen Shores for the Pryde Aquatic and Wellness Centre in Port Elgin.
A press release from the Power Workers' Union and the Town of Saugeen Shores shares that the union is "a proud supporter of many initiatives in Bruce and Grey with a focus on health, youth, sports, and local service organizations."
This donation is one of many donations that have helped the Town of Saugeen Shores surpass its $3 million fundraising goal for the Pryde Aquatic and Wellness Centre, with a total of $3,135,991 raised over the past two and a half years.
The aquatic centre will an eight-lane competition pool, leisure pool, fitness centre, walking track, gymnasium, and multi-purpose program rooms that serve people of all ages and abilities.
