Minto business pitch contest returns

Applications are now open for the 14th annual PitchIt! Minto Business Competition, with over $19,000 in cash and prizes available to be won.

This year’s competition is designed for entrepreneurs looking to expand or purchase an existing business, start something new, or relocate a business within the Town of Minto.

Participants will submit a Business Model Canvas (BMC)—a one-page, practical tool that helps entrepreneurs map out, test, and refine their business model. As part of the program, participants will receive coaching on how to complete their BMC, build financials, and deliver a strong pitch.

The contest was first launched in 2012, to support the growth of small businesses in Minto and to highlight the many local resources available to entrepreneurs. Last year's winner was Feel Alive Home Junction.

Those interested in applying can find full details and application forms at the town's website. The deadline to apply is May 8, 2026. Questions can also be sent to Belinda Wick-Graham at 519-338-2511 ext. 241 or [email protected].
