Impaired driving charge laid after truck tractor collision

A driver involved in a collision with a farm tractor has been charged with impaired driving.

According to the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police, just after 8 p.m. on November 20, police responded to a traffic complaint involving a commercial motor vehicle.

Officers responded and while looking for the suspect vehicle, they found that a farm tractor that had been hit by a vehicle on Perth Line 26 near Perth Road 110.

Police located the commercial motor vehicle, and charged the 54-year-old driver, a resident of Central Huron, with impaired driving and dangerous driving.

Luckily, no one was injured as a result of the crash.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford on January 5, 2026.
