Charges laid after disturbance in Walkerton

A man was arrested in Walkerton after allegedly causing a disturbance and uttering threats on Halloween.

South Bruce OPP responded around noon on October 31 after receiving multiple calls about a person causing a disruption in the downtown core of Walkerton.

Officers determined the individual in question was causing issues in front of numerous businesses, allegedly threatening and attempting to cause physical altercations with the public.

Police located and arrested a 59-year-old male of no fixed address, and charged him with uttering threats, causing a disturbance, and failing to comply with probation.

The accused was held for a bail hearing and later remanded into custody.
