St. John’s Anglican Church donates to Saugeen Shores Police Benevolence Fund

The St. John’s Anglican Church women’s group has made a generous contribution to the Saugeen Shores Police Service Benevolence Fund, presenting a $2,000 cheque on November 10.

The funds were raised through the group’s Antique and Collectables Show, held earlier this year at the Coliseum. Proceeds from the event were shared among several local charities, reflecting the church’s ongoing commitment to supporting the community.

The Benevolence Fund helps police provide immediate assistance when they are interacting with people in need. Police are able to offer essentials such as new clothing, warm beverages, and temporary lodging when people are dealing with difficult times.

The Saugeen Shores Police Service expressed appreciation for the donation, which will help officers offer compassionate, practical support to individuals facing hardship.
