New directory showcases Bruce County artists, performers

Bruce County organizations and community groups have a new resource to find local talent for their upcoming events.

The Bruce County Cultural Directory has officially launched online at culture.brucecounty.on.ca. The directory was built in partnership with 211 Ontario. Artists, performers, authors, poets, and other creative types of all skill levels can register for a listing on the site. Those planning an event can then browse the listings to find entertainment to hire and collaborate with.

“We know that our vibrant and diverse culture shapes the unique identity of Bruce County,” said Warden Luke Charbonneau. “By creating connections between local organizers and talent through this directory, we’re making it easier to enhance events across the community.”

The directory is one initiative sparked by the county's cultural action plan. It was first announced at the Common Ground Cultural Symposium in Chesley last month.

Artists and performers wishing to be included on the directory can register at culture.brucecounty.on.ca/register.
