Feedback sought for Owen Sound's River District budget

Residents and business owners in Owen Sound’s River District are being invited to have their say on the draft 2026 operating budget.

A public meeting will be held later this month, and both oral and written comments will be considered. Written feedback can be submitted to Deputy Clerk Staci Landry by November 26, and those who want to take part electronically must register by November 25 at 4:30 p.m.

The River District Board of Management approved a 3.25 per cent budgetary increase for the draft budget, which will now be presented to the business improvement area membership for review and input.

Details and budget documents are available on the city’s website, along with contact information for staff who can answer questions.

The public meeting will take place during the regular board meeting at City Hall on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, starting at 5:30 p.m.
