Grey Bruce OPP joining Municipal 511 service

The Grey Bruce OPP will now be sharing road closure information through the Municipal 511 service.

According to Grey Bruce OPP, emergency road closures will now be shared onto the Municipal 511 website, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, as it's primary source of emergency road closure information.

In addition, police will still be using the OPP West Region social media accounts as a supplementary form of communication to ensure drivers know what's happening on local roadways.

Municipal 511 is a map-based road information service designed to enhance communication between the police, the municipality and the public.
