North Huron set to host Community Spirit Showcase for community groups and volunteers

The Township of North Huron will host a Community Spirit Showcase event for local community groups and volunteers.

The event will take place on Wednesday, November 5 at the Memorial Community Hall starting at 6:30 p.m.

The Township of North Huron says that this event will be an opportunity for community groups to share their stories and highlight recent projects and initiatives that benefit the community.

Local groups and volunteers will all have a chance to make everyone aware of their work, including upcoming projects for 2026.

This event is in keeping with the North Huron Strategic Plan, and the township says it recognizes that "we would not be the North Huron we enjoy today were it not for our ever-present community spirit and volunteerism."

"Our rural community thrives thanks to the dedication and support of our volunteers. Their countless hours of service strengthen our social fabric, bolster our local economy, and enhance the beauty of the place we proudly call home," said North Hiron Reeve Paul Heffer.
